GEAR raises money, not to make a profit, but simply to pay our bills. With all the youth sports and recreation opportunities we offer, we rack up a lot of expenses: insurance, equipment, upkeep of the gym and ball diamonds, and more. We want to keep growing and offering more opportunities for the community, but that also means additional expenses. We currently have five annual fundraisers:
January (1st Saturday): GEAR Alumni Day
February (Sunday after Super Bowl): Chili Cook-off at Jug’s
May (1st Saturday): Spring in My Step fun run/walk
October (Columbus Day weekend): Funky Munky Wrestling
November (Thanksgiving break): selling Manny’s Pizzas
